ASE 120K: Low-speed Aerodynamics Lab

Semester:

Fall

Offered:

2009

Students will be required to perform a number of experiments in the department's low-speed wind / water tunnels to facilitate a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts in aerodynamics.  Subsequent to each experiment, students are required to produce a detailed reporting of their findings including a description of the study, an uncertainty analysis of their measurements and a discussion of how their findings compare / contrast to literature.

ASE 320: Low Speed Aerodynamics

Semester:

Spring

Offered:

2009

In this course we will cover the fundamental concepts of fluid mechanics, fluid statics; integral and differential relations for control volume analysis, detailed analysis of incompressible & inviscid flows, aerodynamics of airfoils & wing, internal viscous flows and flows about immersed bodies.
