3D UTAPWeLS

Application Information

-The latest version of 3D UTAPWeLS, version 4.28, was released on May 17th 2018.

                                                              IMPORTANT: 
Pre-4.00 projects are no longer compatible with UTAPWeLS versions  4.25 and above.
                Pre-4.00 projects may be updated using v4.00 through v4.24 with v4.24 recommended.
  • *Fast Sonic Logging
  •     -The fast sonic logging simulator works with vertical wells and horizontal layers.
  • *Sonic Studio
  •     -The module has received a general update making plots faster, and easier to navigate.
  •     -Calculation and plot of first arrivals has been reinstated.
  •     -Advanced settings, for wave form simulators are now available for use.
  • *Updated rock components properties according to "Advanced Interpretation of Wireline Logs (SLB)"
  •     -Density, Th (ppm), Ur (ppm), and K (%) properties have been updated.
  • *Various Smaller Bugs and Features
  •     -The display unit system is consistent across project (not just the well).

v4.25:

NMR Data and Studio

-Loading and plotting of T1 and T2 distributions from field, allowing comparison with earth
 model calculated ones.
-Detailed visualization and comparison of T1 and T2 distributions in NMR "1D Plots".
-Calculation of T1 and T2 echo-amplitude decay from corresponding distribution.
-Inverse calculation of T1 and T2 distributions from corresponding echo-amplitude decay.

Various Minor Bugs and Features
   -Show radius in Table View.
   -Start Fluid Flow simulation from current state of invasion.

v4.23:

Thomas-Stieber in Gamma Ray
  -Thomas-Stieber considerations have been included in the calculation of Gamma Ray as an earth  model property
Various Bugs
  -Removed bug that impeded use of UTAPWeLS by new users

v4.22:

UTNuPro
 -Simulation has been significantly sped up
 -Tables have been further refined (more accurate calculations)
Log Filters
 -This module has been re-introduces as part of the log calculator
Resistivity Inversion Module
 -Added track display, and automatic plot of logs related to inversion
Plot Styles
 -Predefined properties (color, limits, etc) for specific plot names
Table View
 -User defined property groups
Various Bugs
 -Save multi-sector (image) logs to LAS file
 -Pore Level Petrophysics

Resistivity Inversion Module
   - Updated back end with improved treatment for highly deviated wells
   - Live update of earth model resistivity and simulated log
3D Geometry
   - Improved handling of large data sets
Fluid Flow Simulator
   - Improved Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) data handling
   - Redesign import results window
