Aging-in-Place Symposium

In conjunction with the Cockrell School of Engineering, CARE is helping organize a one-day symposium on current issues with aging in society and how technology can play a role. The aim of the ‘Aging in Place’ Symposium at UT Austin is to bring together thought and practice leaders from a variety of industries such as healthcare, insurance, service robots, and intelligent systems to identify some of the key challenges, discuss opportunities, and determine how the expertise at UT Austin is best used. The symposium will consist of a keynote talk, panel discussions, and brainstorming sessions. The symposium will be held on September 29th, 2017.

CARE Research Day

Every year the CARE Initiative hosts CARE Research Day, an annual rehabilitation research symposium dedicated towards interdisciplinary interaction and advancing the state-of-the-art in patient care. The event boasts an influential keynote speaker followed by student posters of rehabilitation research around UT and beyond. Please see this video.
